Recognitions and Accreditations


National Accreditation Board of Laboratories (NABL), Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India:

  NABL accreditation system complies with ISO/IEC 17011:2004 and Asia Pacific Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (APLAC) MR001. Based on evaluation of NABL operations by APLAC in 2000, NABL has been granted signatory member status by APLAC and International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) under their Mutual Recognition Arrangements (MRAs). Under these MRAs, the reports issued by NABL accredited laboratories are considered to be equivalent to reports issued by laboratories accredited by (currently) 76 accreditation bodies in 64 economies.

International ISO 15189:2012 for Medical Laboratories:

ISO 15189:2012 is an internationally recognized laboratory accreditation standard that speci?es the quality management system and competency requirements unique to medical laboratories. In addition to setting standards for validation and interpretation of test results, a quality management system for laboratories sets standards for the requisition of the analysis, patient identi?cation and preparation, collection, transportation, storage, processing and examination of patient samples.

The certifications addresses various aspects of quality management and illustrates some of ISO’s best known standards. The standards provide guidance and tools for companies and organizations in order to ensure that their products and services consistently meet customer’s requirements, and that quality is consistently improved.

External Quality Assurance System:

GENERAL DIAGNOSTICS Laboratory has been continually conducting External Quality Assessment Scheme (EQAS) program since its inception with reowned institutions.
